Nine & Dine August 15, 2024
The sun was beginning to dip behind the trees, casting a warm golden glow over the golf course as you and your friends arrived for the much-anticipated Nine and Dine event. The clubhouse was excited, with people laughing and chatting over drinks before heading out to the course. Everyone was in good spirits—there was no pressure, no strict competition, just a group of friends ready to enjoy golf and a great meal.
As the round progressed, the holes got more interesting. On hole 3, a tricky dogleg left, Sue decided to try a risky cut over the trees. She nailed the shot—but the ball didn’t come down in the fairway. Nope. It landed perfectly… on the back of a duck in the pond! Everyone stood there, mouths open, as the ball just sat there, mocking Sue’s ambition. “Looks like you’re buying the first round!” Bob called out, still chuckling.
Back at the clubhouse, the laughter and conversation continued. The staff had already set up a cozy little dinner spread—grilled steaks, fresh salads, and a perfectly chilled bottle of wine. You all took your seats, grabbed a drink, and started swapping stories from the round. Someone asked, “So, who won?” everyone just shrugged. Who knew at that point? The evening had been more about the memories than the scores.
